About Kevin and Valor Woodcraft
Handcrafting your imagination into reality, one piece at a time.
Howdy, I'm Kevin. I live in Cedar Fort, Utah with my amazing, beautiful wife and three awesome kids. I spent twenty years of my life serving in the Army as a Combat Engineer, where I did tours to Iraq and Afghanistan among other taxpayer funded "trips" around the world. During these trips, I gained an appreciation for hand-crafted art developed by different cultures. Whether it be small trinkets or parts of buildings, I felt connected with the craftsmen that spent countless hours perfecting their trade so that I could see it hundreds of years later.
Growing up, I didn't know that there were people out there that you could hire to do things like fix the car or remodel the house. We just did all of that ourselves and I learned along the way. Even if I was just holding the flashlight wrong for my dad. My dad taught me the importance of patience and attention to detail; also, to show the quality of who you are as a man through the quality of your work. The combination of my "on the job" training, military experience, and world appreciation is what gives Valor Woodcraft a uniqueness and sense of pride and quality that will provide you with a hand-crafted piece that can be cherished for generations.
